Adding Funeral Songs For A Memorial Service
Funeral songs are a great way to add mood to any memorial service. It is normal for ceremonies to have several songs played throughout the course of the memorial or funeral service. These types of songs can be taken from any genres and the songs don't even need to be funeral related or pertaining to death. It all depends on what type of music the deceased preferred or if the bereaved family members want to play certain music.
Funeral music or songs have a way of encouraging the bereaved or grieving heart. If folks are giving eulogies, you may want to play songs between the eulogies so that there would not be an awkward pause between speakers. The music can be kept at a low volume in the course of these times. Following the service, when individuals are leaving you'll want to have music again. Singing can help individuals feel like they are contributing to the event. Its recommended to play songs that were special to the deceased and to print the lyrics inside the program. You can have an uplifting song for the postlude so the service ends on an upbeat.
The songs can be incorporated into video presentations. Several folks are generating CD's with photos to celebrate the life that was lived. Remember though that if you are putting together a multimedia presentation to show at the service, you don't want to play the entire song. Fade the music to flow with the theme of the photos. The video presentation can be shared with attendees via CD or they can be directed to a website where they can download it. You may also want to add the song playlist to the memorial web site you are putting together or add it to their Facebook page.
